The Prasad Foundation was established during February 2006 by Mr. Babula Kumar Prasad for defending various issues to fisherman Communities and to bring a revolution in the sector of Socio-Economic Development of different communities of societies of various coastal districts of Odisha. From the day Establishment, Prasad Foundation is dedicatedly committed towards all-round development of society especially the socio ecnonomic development of unreached, neglected and backward communities of the society in order to make the future operation become smooth and to serve the targeted communities in a better way, the promoters of Prasad Foundation registered the organization under Indian Trust Act 1882 on 7th of July 2006 at office of Sub Registrar at Puri of Odisha.

The main aim of such Development institute is to bring sustainable development in the life style of youth generation of society by way of Promotion of Micro Enterprise , Women Employment , Alternate Livelihood Opportunities and other infrastructural , Health, Education and Environmental promotion in Rural areas and Urban slums.
The Organization has concrete scope to develop the backward areas of society at Ganjam and Puri Districts of Odisha. It has the goal to operate in 14 more districts of Odisha where the need of interference would target by NGO/MFI for alternate purpose of development in socio-economic sector is quite high.

Prasad Foundation , an Organization initiated in the year 2006 is committed to work for the development of the weaker section of the society since long. Having most experienced Human Resource in the organization , the Foundation is launching different programmes where the needy gets the benefits for its family for better livelihood. The Chairman is dedicated, motivated, experienced and trained to suggest & guide whole environment to see the best outcome of the input. Targeting the most vulnerable section of the community, Prasad Foundation always insists the stakeholders to be involved in all the programmers is the main strategy of its initiation.
In collaboration with many National and International Agencies, Prasad Foundation has already undertaken different projects during last year. No. of awareness campaigns, workshops, meetings, trainings have been organized successfully where the community, Resource Persons & Government Officials were the part. Prasad Foundation ha its credibility to undertake any developmental projects in the State of Odisha as the community participation is the main criteria for project implementation. Odisha Land Rights to slum dwellers Act passed in Odisha Assembly in 2017 to initiate activities to provide Land Rights to Urban Poor. Under this Act Jaga Mission came into force in Odisha to start the initial work to achieve the goal. Accordingly Prasad Foundation was involved in the urban slum Household Area survey in and around 42 slums under Puri Municipality area. Volunteers were selected , training of volunteers organized and the door to door survey , door to door numbering & mapping was done in all slums taking the active participation of Slum Dwellers Association . Series of meetings, campaigns were organized in collaboration with Municipality & Govt. to select the needy beneficiaries to get the facility. Properly it was done & the beneficiaries were selected through selection procedure . 2000Household were able to get the Record of Rights (ROR) from the Govt. The process is still running in the slums
